When you are seeking support a therapist can be a helper through difficult times, aiding you in healing past and current experiences, building ways to regulate emotions that may have become overwhelming, and learning lifelong skills and strategies that compliment the work of therapy and personal change. My experience spans therapy and counseling in clinic, hospital, and school settings with Clients ranging in ages from 4 years old to 80 years old.
Positive regard, relationship, teaching care of the self, and community supports are important keys to healing. My practice works in a mind, body, spirit tradition for healing of self/self with others. Issues impacting your life goals, work, or school are explored through our therapeutic relationship, working together helping you address life challenges and develop a path for change and growth.

Modalities plus Mindfulness

Incorporating therapy with mindfulness practice has been a very effective way for clients to move toward long term changes and better daily functioning. Working together toward healing, finding inner peace, and supporting and strengthening the whole person with heart based change has been life changing for me and for my clients. Somatic Experiencing and Advanced Resolution Therapy combine elements of imagery, sensation, emotional responses, gestalt, and replacement techniques to work effectively on a wide range of problems that may be recent or deeply embedded in an individual's past. Even when traumas are not readily available as specific and clear memory these method hae been shown to be effective and well researched. In addition cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and community resources are practical and life changing approaches.
